Job summary
Dasher Technologies is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer in the San Jose, CA area to help lead the expansion of its storage practice. As a member of the Engineering team, the Technical Sales Engineer interacts directly with clients and other members of the Dasher team to design and implement a technology solution to a business challenge. The Technical Sales Engineer will have a high level of technical expertise for all storage products offered by Dasher Technologies.
Minimum requirements
The ideal candidate for this position can provide both technical presales support to the direct Sales Team and provide Post Sales deployment services; including, providing on-going support to Dasher’s existing customers. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will have a wealth of experience and knowledge in tiered Enterprise IT solutions. You must have the ability to architect, present, implement, and support the products and services provided by Dasher Technologies. The Technical Sales Engineer will have a high level of technical expertise in multiple product lines; including, HP StorageWorks Division (SWD), EMC, NetApp, and Pillar Data. Hands-on experience setting up, maintaining and expanding storage networks (both NAS & SAN) in large scale distributed deployments; experience managing Brocade, Cisco, and Qloqic FC SAN’s; a deep knowledge of storage protocols including FC, iSCSI, FCoE; experience with VMware and Citrix products; and a strong understanding of routing, switching and security products is desired.
Abilities required
The Technical Sales Engineer operates in a multi-function role often consisting of; project management, document management, system analyst, system architect, implementation, and training. Because our Technical Sales Engineer routinely operate in a dynamic customer environment, they must feel comfortable in a highly versatile role with rapidly changing conditions. Travel is required for this position.
Bachelor's degree in related field is desired, 6+ years of experience in related field required
Technical certification required: HP StorageWorks ASE, EMCTA, NetApp certified in at least one area (NCEC, NCSE, NCSA, NCIE)
Technical certifications desired: Cisco CCNA or CCNP, MCP or MCSE, RHCT or RHCE, VMware VCP
